TYPICAL CZECH PRODUCTS

All countries have typical products and Czech republic isn't exeption. Ask yourself: "Do I know any czech product?" I thnik, that your answer is "I do". Our productmark was "Made in Czechoslovakia" in past, but today it is "Made in Czech republic". And which czech products are well known in the world?

Everybody know, that czech nation is called as beer nation. So the first product is czech beer. The best are Pilsner Urquell (from Pilsen = Plzeň, city in west part of republic) and Budweiser Budvar (from Budweis = České Budějovice, city in south part of rep.). Look at some commercials.

Pilsner Urquell: This ad shows czech composer Bedřich Smetana in time, when he was deaf. In this time he made one of the best symphonic poems - My Country. This commercial shows, how he  composed this symphonic poem.

Budweiser Budvar: Simple to understand :-)

Next video shows Czechs as typical beer nation.

Next typical czech products are glass (especially cut glass), which has for more than 140 years produced in Moser factory in Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary) or czech cars (Tatra or Škoda) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7cX6yPvQBk

CZECH REPUBLIC?

Maybe is your first question now: Where is Czech republic?
So, Czech republic is country in Central Europe (or middle east Europe - it's up to you). Czech republic has common borders with Germany (to the west), with Austria (to the south), with Slovakia (to the east) and with Poland (to the North). The Czech republic has been a member of NATO  since 1999 and EU since 2004. The Czech Republic is a pluralist multi-party parliamentary representative democracy. President Václav Klaus is the current head of state (in 2011).
